Clare Makes Scents – A Review by Your Boys & Mine
Summer is almost over and we’re feeling grateful to be gifted these native botanical Clare Makes scents to review and refresh our home for the season ahead.
We love how there’s a variety of scented products available including room sprays, wax tablets and candles. The scents are all native Australian botanicals and named after significant Australian figures who inspired each scent. We found the scents to all be refreshing, revitalising and not too overpowering. Ideal for daily use and no complaints from my boys!
Room and Linen Spray
The room spray has been my go-to each and every day. With just one or two sprays into the centre of the room, the scent lasts at least a full day. The 250ml spray bottle is absolutely value for money. To make the scent stronger why not light a Clare Makes candle with an identical scent at the same time. Scented Wax Tablets
I’d never come across wax tablets before but I’m now obsessed. Remember lavender bags your Mum or Grandmother might have gifted you to pop in your underwear drawer to scent your clothes. These wax tablets are a modern native botanical take on the lavender bags. Just pop the wax tablet in your drawer or hang in your wardrobe for a lovely long lasting scent that’s not too overpowering.
Banjo scent is great for my wardrobe I share with hubby. The more floral Miles scent has been perfect in my drawers. It has kept everything smelling fresh but naturally scented. Every time I open my drawer I’m met with a burst of native wildflowers. No harsh chemicals left lingering around. Our favourite scent: Banjo Australian Bush

Soy Wax Candles
It’s no secret I love candles. Nothing compares to the relaxing ambience they provide not to mention the scent they add to our home of boys. Clare Makes candles are individually hand poured in Sydney using premium soy wax. When lit they fill the room with a beautiful long lasting scent. The candle jars and labels are gorgeous making them a stunning decorative feature for your living room, bedroom or bathroom. Our favourite scent: Matilda Eucalyptus & Fresh Berries

Reed Diffusers
I love walking into a room or home that has a natural refreshing aroma. Clare Makes reed diffusers look stylish, are easy to assemble and come with six white reeds to replace when necessary. I’ve put our Effie Reed Diffuser in our entranceway but I also like popping one in our guest bathroom. These reed diffusers are providing a constant but not overpowering scent in our home. My boys haven’t mentioned the smell so it is subtle enough but very noticeable (to me!) Our favourite scent: Effie Blue Mountain Air
